NPHS ARTISTS WIN IN SCHOLASTIC ART AWARDS

1223 Thirteen students in the New Providence High School art department placed in the Scholastic Art Awards, a national competition. Competing regionally against students in thirteen counties, New Providence artists earned two gold keys, two silver keys, and nine honorable mentions for their entries. The gold key winners, Lauren House and Emily Kapp, are now national finalists. All artworks were judged for originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal vision. All gold key works will be displayed in the Montclair Art Museum throughout March.
