2017 CJMEA Elementary Honors Band
Congratulations to the nine students from Allen W. Roberts who were selected to participate in the Central Jersey Music Educators Association Elementary Honors Band Festival on April 29th, 2017. Over 400 students applied and 280 were accepted! Students received the music prior to the event and took the initiative to attend extra rehearsals before and after school to prepare their parts for this exciting day. The event consisted of rehearsals with band directors from all over the Central Jersey area and culminated in a concert showcasing the musical excellence of the students. Congratulations on a job well done. Click HERE for photos of our AWR participants.

Into the FutureOn Thursday, June 18th, AWR had an assembly to not only congratulate many students on academic achievements, but also to fill and close our time capsule. It was very interesting to see what each grade selected to put into the time capsule. The kids watched a little video of Mrs Hansen getting into a REAL DeLorean and taking off "Into the Future". She returned grey haired and excited! We truly hope you will all be around in 2035 when the time capsule will be opened. Thanks to the Wolters of the DeLorean Mid-Atlantic Club for lending us their DeLorean.
