• Mathematics Databases
    The following databases can be used to obtain information on famous mathematicians and other information related to math.  Some databases require logins and passwords for home access. Passwords may be located by loggin into the NPHS/MS website and selecting Research Pathfinders on the library web page.

    National Science Digital Library (NSDL)  - links to websites and other online information and tools to support teaching and learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathmatics (STEM).  Funded by the National Science Foundation.
    New
    eLibrary Science (Proquest) - science  and math content and tools along with unique videos and dozens of manipulatives.  Includes text and images from reference e-books, features on current events and topics in science and math, and links to educator-approved websites supplied by Homework Central.

    Biography Collection Complete Offers a comprehensive collection of full-text biographies supporting history, science, mathematics the arts, music, literature, multicultural studies, gender studies, business, government & politics, sports, entertainment and many other areas. This database features more than 177,000 full-text biographies from many different sources.
     
    Gale Virtual Reference Library Collection:  Search for eBooks on various math topics and famous mathematicians.
     
    New Book of Popular Science  Encyclopedia articles on science and math topics, bibliographical references, tables, special features, photographs and maps.
     
    Wilson Biographies Plus Illustrated:  Search for biographical information on famous mathematicians.
     
    Khan Academy Online Math Videos:  over 2,100 videos and 100 self-paced exercises and assessments covering everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history.
     
    Safari Montage Video on Demand  This link is for home access onlyUse the link under Favorites when accessing Safari in school.  Use district login and password to access video files.  Search by topic or browse under subject for relevant video clips.

    New NetTrekker - Thinkronize provides the largest educational search engine with access to over 300,000 teacher-selected Internet websites.
