• World Language and Culture Databases
     
    The following databases can be used for World Language and Culture Information.  There is also country information as well.  Many databases require a login and password for home access.  These may be found by logging into the NPHS/MS website and selecting Research Pathfinders on the library page menu.

    Lands and Peoples   Encyclopedia of countries, cultures, current events, latest information on each and every country in the world: land, people, economy, history, government and maps.
     
    Country Studies  This website contains the on-line versions of books previously published in hard copy by the Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress as part of the Country Studies/Area Handbook Series sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Army between 1986 and 1998. Each study offers a comprehensive description and analysis of the country or region's historical setting, geography, society, economy, political system, and foreign policy.
     
    Geopedia  National Geographic's encyclopedia of cultural and geographical information.
     
    Student Research Center- Use to search EBSCOhost databases for Country Reports, State and Province information, maps, flags, photos and more.
