The New Providence Board of Education has the honor of selecting four teachers representing each of our schools for the Union County Teacher Recognition Program, which acknowledges educators for their commitment to their students and their profession.
We are soliciting recommendations from staff, parents, and students.

New Providence School District will host a viewing of the award-winning documentary “Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age” on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 at 7pm at New Providence High School. This event is open to the community. Please pre-register here.

New Providence School District's Music Education Program Receives National Recognition for the 12th Consecutive Year
New Providence School District has once again been named a "Best Community for Music Education" by the NAMM Foundation! 2024 is the 12th consecutive, and 13th overall, year being recognized for our excellent music opportunities for our students. Only five other districts in the state have received this award longer than New Providence, solidifying our district and our community as a consistent leader in music education in the state of New Jersey.

The BCME award program recognizes and celebrates outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.
