Registration Process

The registration process is completed entirely online and is divided into two parts:

  1. Pre-registration (Part One):
    • Parents/legal guardians should start by completing the pre-registration form on the Student Registration page of the New Providence School District website. This form collects basic information about your child and household.
    • Once your pre-registration form is approved by the district registrar, you will receive an automated email from PowerSchool with instructions for completing the second part of the registration process.
  2. PowerSchool Account Setup and Document Upload (Part Two):
    • The email will guide you through creating an account in PowerSchool, the district’s student information system. You will also need to upload required documentation. Follow the email instructions to create a username and password, then enter the unique Access ID and Access Password provided in the email.
    • Important: If you already have a child registered in the district, you don’t need to create a new PowerSchool account. Simply log in to your existing account, go to “Preferences,” and add your new incoming Kindergarten/First Grader using the unique Access ID and Password provided in the email.

Should you have any questions about the registration process, please contact our Registrar, Ms. Dena DiRocco at (908) 464-9050 x4221 or ddirocco@npsdnj.org.
