    Hours/Access: The New Providence High School/Middle School Media Center is a shared learning environment for students and teachers that is open from 7:15 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Middle School students use the Media Center with their classes and may also come in during home room and study hall with a pass from their teacher. High school students also use the Meida Center during class visits. They may also access the Media Center during their lunch period or study hall with a pass.
     

     Resource Collection: The Media Center at New Providence High School/Middle School includes over 6,00 print books, many eBooks, and approximately 2,000 videos.  The district online network provides students and teachers with access to the Internet and online subscription databases. Passwords for the subscription databases can be accessed through student and teacher Google accounts.

     

    Technology: The Media Center has 60 touch screen laptops for student use. Black and white as well as color printing are also available for students.  The Media Center contains several instructional areas as well as small learning pods with smart boards.  There is also a video wall with internet and cable TV.

     

    Statewide Services: The New Providence School District participates in the New Jersey statewide interlibrary loan system, JerseyCat, with deliveries twice weekly from participating public, corporate, academic and school libraries.  Teachers and students may access the JerseyCat catalog through the Library main page Online Catalogs link.  Interlibrary loans must be arranged by a media specialist
