Click the link to find out more.An entertaining presentation from cyberbullying expert Sgt. Thomas Rich recently had the middle school students thinking about how texting, sexting, Facebook and Formspring.me are making it easier for students to be mean to each other.Salt Brook recently premiered a training film featuring Salt Brook 6th grade students, and filmed at the school, as part of Children's Specialized Hospital's Autism Education program.The district is presently conducting two iPad pilot programs to evaluate mobile tablet technology, it's integration into our instructional model, and the resulting student engagement and achievement.
The New Providence Education Foundation recently hosted ‘March Mayhem', a fun filled evening featuring a basketball game played by New Providence Teachers and Faculty with student coaches and referees.

Take a look today!Parents, district personnel, and community members served as guest readers to help Salt Brook celebrate Read Across America week and to impart their love of reading on the students.The introduction of the Reader's Workshop program at both elementary schools has been greeted enthusiastically by students and teachers alike, and has quickly become one of the students' favorite parts of the day.Students at AWR have been paired with a buddy through the AWR character education program and their friendship has made a true impact on each student. Besides learning about character education themes, such as kindness and respect, these buddy pairs also meet to discuss their writing.Middle School students in the Robotics module have been working on designing and programming LEGO robots to perform a variety of tasks.The Middle School Student Services club recently held an annual fundraiser for the National Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and raised over $1000.The 7th Annual Teen Arts Jam held at Caldwell College featured approximately 340 works in sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, and collage from seventeen area high school art programs.

March 22nd2012/13 PROPOSED SCHOOL BUDGET HEARINGMembers of the community are encouraged and invited to attend the Public Hearing for the proposed 2012/2013 School Budget on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the New Providence High/Middle School Cafeteria. Information about the school budget will be available on the District web site after the presentation.
