     March 8th & 9th

Ever inspiring and feeling even more timely now then when it was written, the female driven double murderess song and dancer is a romp through the corrupt prison and court systems of the 1920s.
Chicago, winner of 6 Tony awards and one of the longest-running Broadway musicals of all time, feels as upbeat, smart and on point today as when it was written in 1975. Intelligent, witty and connivingly devilish with classic songs about press manipulation, betrayal and selfishness, Chicago could feel equally at home on either the Broadway stage or the White House lawn.

      Wish List

NPHS Drama Dept. happily accepts tax-deductible donations to add to our stock for future productions.  Drop off items (in good working/wearing condition) to NPHS Auditorium.  If we can't use them, we'll send them off to a local donation center.

    Mission Statement

New Providence schools are known not only for the outstanding education students receive, but also for extra-curricular activities that guide students in developing skills outside the classroom.  Using this model, the NPHS Drama Dept. seeks to meet the following goals:

    • Provide students with opportunities for performance and technical theatre that challenge and extend their creativity.

    • Make connections between theatre, other classroom content areas, and life experiences.

    • Encourage a lifelong appreciation for theatre arts.

    Quote of the week:

"An ounce of behavior is worth a pound of words." - Sanford Meisner
