NPMS Reward School
New Providence Middle School has been named a Reward School by the New Jersey Department of Education. A Reward School is a school that has demonstrated outstanding student achievement over the past three years as indicated by school-wide proficiency and subgroup proficiency based on three years of assessment data, and graduation rates.
This honor is only given to the top 4.5% of all schools in the state of New Jersey and the program is designed so that these schools will have the opportunity to share successful practices with educators across the state.
In addition, NPHS was last year named a Positive Behavior Support in Schools (PBSIS) Model School by the New Jersey Department of Education–Office of Special Education, in collaboration with The Elizabeth M. Boggs Center at UMDNJ –Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Congratulations to everyone at the Middle School on these fine accomplishments.
