Oragami Cranes Raise Money for Japan ReliefAllen W. Roberts students worked with an outside organization who agreed to donate $2 for every paper origami crane that was made. The students were able to make over 1,800 cranes and raise over $3,600 to the Japan Relief Fund.5th Grade Student Council Assists Salt Brook Student in Raising Funds for Autism Awareness.The Allen W. Roberts 5th Grade Student Council teamed up with a Salt Brook 5th grade student with a fundraising drive to benefit the Drive For Autism Foundation.The Drive for Autism Foundation is a public charitable foundation that was established to raise funds and distribute them to schools and non-profit organizations committed to the education and treatment of persons with diagnosis" under the Autism spectrum. Selling lanyards and wristbands, the students of AWR raised $790 during the three day fundraising event.Author, Lisa Funari-Willever Visits AWRNew Jersey native and famous author Lisa Funari-Willever visited AWR in March and was a HUGE hit! She entertained all classes with presentations that were engaging, educational and fun.
