NPHS EARNS GOLD KEYS IN SCHOLASTIC ART AWARDSTwenty-eight students in the New Providence art department placed in the Scholastic Art Awards, a national competition. Competing regionally against students in thirteen counties, New Providence artists earned eight gold keys, seven silver keys, and thirteen honorable mentions for their entries. The Gold key winners are all now national finalists. All art works were judged for originality, technical skill, and emergence of a personal vision. Teachers Lynn Celler, Eileen Mondino, Denise Moser, John Russo, and Bill Vivona registered and prepared their students for competition. All gold key works will be displayed in the Montclair Art Museum between February 11 and March 9. An awards ceremony will be held at the museum on Wednesday night, February 15.
