• March Mayhem

On March 7th the New Providence Education Foundation hosted ‘March Mayhem", a fun filled evening featuring a basketball game played by New Providence Teachers and Faculty with student coaches and referees. The event offered something for everyone! The New Providence High School Jazz Choir started the evening off with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. Contests between game quarters kept the crowd cheering. The Free Throw Contest was open to students K-6th grade, and the Half Court Throw Contest was open to students 7th-12th. The grand prize winner in each contest went home with 2 tickets to a NJ Nets vs. NY Knicks game. The half time ‘Blaizin" Challenge" hot wings contest was sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings. Winners had their choice of NJ Nets or NY Knicks jerseys. The basketball game was a nail-biter as students loudly cheered their favorite teachers on, ending in a close 67-66 final score.

The event raised funds for the New Providence Education Foundation whose mission is to enhance the educational experience of students in the New Providence Public Schools by funding new and innovative programs that are otherwise not funded through traditional sources.
Thanks to everyone involved in a wonderful evening of fun and entertainment.
