• Autism Film Premiere

FilmSalt Brook recently premiered the training film made at the school as part of Children"s Specialized Hospital"s Autism Education program. The film, which featured Salt Brook 6th grade students, focused on the importance of developing training programs in schools for autism awareness. In the film, Principal Jean Maier and School Counselor Erika Ledder-Inzano discuss how the school implements awareness programs as part of the Character Education program, and a Salt Brook 6th grader talks about his interactions with his brother with autism and how he petitioned the Salt Brook to run a fundraiser to benefit the Drive for Autism Foundation. At the premiere, students, their families, filmmakers and district personnel gathered to view the film and enjoy their efforts. It was a great experience for all involved
