  • GET GRIT

NPMS teachers developed a GET GRIT Program.  GET GRIT is an acronym for Goal Setting, Evaluate Your Challenge, Try A Strategy, Give Yourself A Chance, Reach For Resources, Initiate Communication and Track Your Success. GET GRIT is considered a key contributor to success. The teachers devise the goal in order to enhance student's independence with respect to responsibility, perseverance and problem-solving. Through challenges taught in the classroom, students learn to overcome obstacles and have an opportunity to achieve success. Teachers also hung posters in classrooms and handed out bookmarks to every student, emphasizing the initials and words GET GRIT represents.

As always, Pomptonian encourages everyone to make healthy dining choices and to eat a balanced meal.  Every day there will be a variety of entrées available.  Your student’s meal includes selections from an array of fresh fruits and farm fresh vegetables.  Our cafeteria staff appreciates your patience and understanding as we designed menus that complied with the new Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act regulations in September and make adjustments for the new changes this December.
