Starting on Saturday, September 18, 2021, the New Providence School District will offer voluntary COVID-19 testing to all of our students and their families and to all of our staff and their families as a service to our community. This testing will be administered by Advance Management Services (“AMS”). There will be no cost for the testing, however, every person to be tested must be pre registered by the Thursday prior at 5 p.m.
Testing will be offered every Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. It will be done as drive through testing and will be held in the front circle at Salt Brook and AWR. Students and families will test at the school for which their residence is zoned. Staff will test at the school at which they teach. For high school and middle school staff, employees with a last name beginning with A to M will go to AWR and employees with a last name beginning with N to Z will go to Salt Brook.
Testing will be a PCR nasal swab. Results will be received in 2 to 3 days from the date of testing. Any student or family member may be tested regardless of vaccination status.
All testing is strictly confidential. The School District will not be provided with the names of those being tested. Everything will be handled through AMS.
Please see the attached information from AMS for more detail.
