WOW! I can't believe it's already June! I am so proud of your hard work, especially on your Egyptian Gods/Goddesses project and your Maniac Magee RPW! For this week, we have an optional "for fun" assignment. You can choose either option below. If you want, you can even do both. Have fun and be creative! :) We will share this assignment on Friday during our LAST Zoom meeting! We'll also have an end of year celebration and play a game. I hope to see you there!
Comic Strip Activity
-Take an 8x11 piece of paper. Fold it into 6 even boxes. Now you have a template for a comic strip!
-You can either write a comic strip about Ancient Egypt or a comic strip about Maniac Magee.
-If you choose Ancient Egypt: A day in the life of an Ancient Egyptian! Pick 6 things (one for each box) you might include.
-If you choose Maniac Magee: Pick your favorite part! Make sure it's a long enough part that you can stretch it across 6 boxes.
-Either way, remember: In a comic, the story is told through detailed/colorful illustrations, dialogue, sound words, thought bubbles, and so on.
-Have fun! I can't wait to see your comic strips!
