How to Make Cloth Face Coverings or Masks
The CDC recommends that cloth face masks or coverings be worn whenever we are out of the house and near other people. In New Jersey, we are required to wear one when we go to essential businesses such as the grocery store, pick up food at restaurants, or ride NJ Transit. Social distancing guidelines should still be followed. Wearing a mask or face covering is an additional step we can take to responsibly limit the spread of COVID-19.
Cloth face masks and coverings can be fashioned from materials we have at home, even if you do not sew. Medical grade masks are needed for health professionals and should not be used by the general public.
