The New Providence School District is accepting applications for the 2017-2018 Preschool Program waiting list. Applicants must be residents of New Providence and have birth dates between October 2, 2012 and October 1, 2013. Regular education students who will be turning four years of age by October 1, 2017 are selected for this program by lottery. All applications must be submitted to the Department of Special Services. Special education students are included in the Preschool Program as determined by the District Child Study Team.

Preschool classes meet five days per week from 8:40 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. for the morning session or from 11:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. for the afternoon sessions. We are unable to accept requests for morning or afternoon sessions. All general education children must be toilet trained.

Applications are available at the Board of Education Office, 356 Elkwood Avenue or click here. A birth certificate and proof of residency will be required for those students admitted to the program. Admission to the class is only valid for one school year, and a tuition fee of $290 per month will be charged.

Upon notification of acceptance into the program, parents will be asked to submit a deposit consisting of the first month’s tuition in order to reserve a spot in the program.
