    The New Providence Board of Education Regular Meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 7:30 P.M. in the New Providence High/Middle School Media Center, 35 Pioneer Drive, has been cancelled and rescheduled for Thursdav, May 30, 2013 at 7:30 P.M. in the Allen W. Roberts School Media Center, 80 Jones Drive.

  • New Providence Schools Recognized for Outstanding Music Education

    NAMMlogo The National Association of Music Merchants, known as the NAMM Foundation, recognizes New Providence School District for its outstanding commitment to music education with a Best Communities for Music Education designation. New Providence joins 307 districts across the country to receive the prestigious distinction this year.

    “This recognition represents the community’s passion and support for the arts and we are very fortunate to have a dedicated staff that is committed to music education.” said Dr. David Miceli, Superintendent of Schools. “On behalf of the New Providence Board of Education, we would like to congratulate the entire community on this national designation.”

  • 2013/2014 School Calendar Approved

    The New Providence School District 2013/2014 calender was approved at the January Board meeting.
    Please note the modification to the February break, the increase in built-in emergency days from (2) to (4), and new early dismissal times. On early dismissal days, no lunch will be provided.

  • NJ Monthly Ranks NPHS #1 Public High School in NJ!
    njmonthly New Jersey Monthly has recognized New Providence High School as the #1 public high school in the state. The magazine's 2012 rankings of the Top 100 public high schools will appear in the September issue, on newsstands starting August 28. A complete list of all 328 rated schools is online at www.njmonthly.com. Congratulations to the entire school community on this outstanding accomplishment.

  • NPHS Awarded Ninth Annual ShopRite Cup cup
     
    New Providence High School has been awarded the 2011-2012 ShopRite/NJSIAA Cup. New Providence claims the Group 1 trophy with 38 overall points and earned 9 extra points for having no disqualifications in the fall, winter, and spring seasons. To view a press release, click here.

Welcome

In partnership with students, parents, and community, the mission of the New Providence School District is to educate all students to meet high academic standards and to prepare them to be responsible citizens in the dynamic global society of the 21st century.
Offering a comprehensive Pre-K to Grade 12 educational program, the district serves a high school, middle school, and two elementary schools. Our programs of study are carefully aligned to the Core Curriculum Content Standards, with a strong emphasis on technology integration. Our co-curricular activities offer all students many opportunities to meet their needs and interests. Participation in a well-rounded curriculum is encouraged.
