Below is information and calendars of New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) assessments for the school year 2011-2012 as well as the schedule of district administered standardized tests.
ALLEN W. ROBERTS AND SALT BROOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
The Department of Education mandates testing of all students in Grades 3-8 through the New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (NJ ASK), and the Grade 11 High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA). NJDOE also requires each student to take the Biology Competency Field Test at the completion of their first year Biology course.
The New Jersey Department of Education administers the following statewide assessments:
New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge-NJ ASK (grades 3-8)
High School Proficiency Assessment – HSPA (grade 11)
Biology Proficiency Assessment (including a biology performance assessment prompt)
Alternate Proficiency Assessment – APA (for those students with severe cognitive disabilities)
Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State to State for English Language Learners- ACCESS for ELLs (for all K-12 liited English proficient students)
Please note that the NJDOE has not yet issued the assessment dates for HSPA, NJ Bio, or SAT 1 & 2 testing. These dates have been tentatively scheduled based on last year's testing dates. The S-Test and AP Testing dates are also tentative, contingent upon the confirmed dates for the aforementioned tests. When confirmed dates have been received from the State, we will post those changes here.
All NJASK, NJ PASS, TCS/2, Kindergarten Readiness and the High School, PSAT dates are final.
